Description
The inner circumference of this 10th century nasal helmet measures approx. 66 cm and the helmet is made of 18 gauge steel. This classic nasal helmet had a conical shape for a very good reason: it easily deflected sword cuts from above that were aimed at the head. The nose guard also has a purpose. It effectively protected a warrior’s nose during battle and hardly restricted his field of view at all. The adjustable liner improves the wearing comfort of this 10th century nasal helmet and adjusts to fit a variety of head sizes. The helmet stays on your head thanks to the leather chinstrap and buckle. Our nasal helmet was used by many of the ethnic groups that lived in Europe during the 10th century. Its pocked and pitted surface gives the impression that it has already weathered many a battle.
